The Atlanta Braves lost to the Milwaukee Brewers by 9-4 on Sunday in the last meeting of a three-game weekend set at Truist Park. Atlanta still took the series by 2-1.
The Brewers scored eight runs during the top of the second inning en route to the victory. That included a three-run homer from William Contreras. Rowdy Tellez had a two-run homer for the Braves in the bottom of the ninth.
Bryce Elder was charged with the loss for Atlanta after giving up eight runs and 12 hits, walking two, and striking out six over six innings. Robert Gasser got the win and Chad Patrick picked up the save for Milwaukee.
The National League East-leading Braves are now 48-28 on the 2026 regular season. They will open a six-game road trip out west tonight with the first of three games in San Diego, CA versus the Padres. First pitch is scheduled for 10:10 pm Eastern.
