The Atlanta Braves lost to the San Diego Padres by 5-2 on Wednesday night in the finale of a three-game set at Petco Park in San Diego, CA. It allowed the Padres to sweep the series.
One bright spot of the night was a two-run homer by Joey Bart in the top of the sixth inning, his first as a Brave.
Ty France homered for the Padres to begin the bottom of the third.
Martin Perez was charged with the loss for Atlanta after giving up three runs and four hits, walking four, and striking out four in four innings. JP Sears got the win and Jason Adam picked up the save for San Diego.
The Braves are now 48-31 on the 2026 regular season. They have a night off tonight and will resume their current six-game road trip on Friday night with the first of three games in San Francisco, CA versus the Giants.
