Rome-Floyd Recycling Center to Host Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Collection Event on August 8th

The Rome-Floyd Recycling Center, 412 Lavender Drive, has planned a Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Collection event for Saturday, August 8^th from 9 am until 3 pm. Household hazardous waste like poisons, pesticides, paint, automotive fluids, fluorescent bulbs, cleaning products, and pool chemicals will be accepted. The acceptable electronic items will include televisions, computers, monitors, speakers, printers, copiers, DVD Players, sound systems, cables, satellite receivers, and fax machines. Items such as tires, wood, clothing, furniture, toilets, construction debris, carpet, toys, medical waste, cooking oil, and trash will not be accepted. Appointments must be made in advance at Rome-Floyd Recycling Center: August household and electronics waste event or by calling (706) 291-5266.
