Habitat for Humanity – Coosa Valley continues to seek volunteers to support its mission to build homes and hope for local families. You don’t necessarily have to be handy with a hammer to help!
Ground was broken in late May on Habitat’s 62nd home. It will be inhabited by the Cornejo family. Betsy Allgood, Executive Director, urges members of the community to stay tuned for information about volunteer opportunities on this home build.
Volunteers are always needed to help work concessions at Rome Emperors home games, says Allgood.
Habitat operates two of the large concession stands and the nacho stand at AdventHealth Stadium. Fifteen percent of the proceeds go to the non-profit, which also welcomes tips.
Volunteers, donations, and shoppers are also sought at Habitat’s Restore near Central Plaza, adds Allgood.
