The Atlanta Braves defeated the Texas Rangers by 8-5 on Sunday in the last outing of a three-game set at Truist Park. It allowed Atlanta to take the series by 2-1.
Drake Baldwin went 5-for-5 and contributed a pair of home runs to include a solo shot during the bottom of the third inning and another in the eighth.
Austin Riley went 3-for-4 and had four RBIs to include solo home runs in the second and fourth.
Grant Holmes was Atlanta’s winning pitcher. He gave up just three runs and seven hits, walked two, and struck out two over five innings. Nathan Eovaldi took the loss for Texas.
The National League East-leading Braves are now 57-41 on the 2026 regular season. They will continue their current seven-game homestand tonight with the first of four games versus the San Diego Padres. First pitch is scheduled for 7:15 pm.
