Curiosity Shoppe and the Crews and Company Band to Perform at August First Friday Concert

Another First Friday concert is set for this Friday, August 7^th on the Town Green in downtown Rome.

Attendees will enjoy live performances by Curiosity Shoppe and the Crews and Company Band, according to Jennifer DeBord, Parking Manager for the Rome Downtown Development Authority.

The evening’s festivities will begin at 6 pm with a fashion show presented by downtown merchants. Hannah Shaw, newly crowned Miss NW Georgia, will walk the runway. The concert will start at 7 pm.

Guardians of the Jukebox will perform at the final First Friday concert of the year on Friday, September 4^th. DeBord enthuses that this show will be quite entertaining for anyone that loves ’80s music.

First Friday concerts are free to the public, thanks to financial support from the downtown Business Improvement District (or BID).

The Rome DDA is accepting Downtown Impact Grant Applications through August 21^st. These grants are intended to support organizations that produce events that enhance the quality of life while promoting economic growth in downtown Rome.
