ATLANTA (August 10, 2026) Georgia drivers are continuing to see relief at the pump as gas prices decline across the state. The average price for regular gasoline in Georgia is now $3.76 per gallon (subject to change overnight), down from recent weeks.
“Drivers are seeing some relief at the pump as earlier declines in crude oil prices filter through the market,” said Montrae Waiters, spokeswoman for AAA – The Auto Club Group. “However, ongoing uncertainty surrounding global oil supplies could shift the trend and put upward pressure on gas prices in the coming weeks.”
Compared to recent benchmarks:
- 11 cents lower than last week
- 20 cents higher than last month
- 85 cents higher than last year
For those filling up a standard 15-gallon tank of regular gasoline, the cost is approximately $56.40.
National Average Dips for Another Week
The national average for a gallon of regular gasoline fell 8 cents this week to $4.01. Lower crude oil prices and softer demand are helping push pump prices lower. With summer travel winding down and students heading back to school, fewer road trips are contributing to the seasonal decline.

Regional Prices:
The most expensive metro markets in Georgia are Atlanta ($3.83), Macon ($3.81), and Gainesville ($3.79).
The least expensive metro markets in Georgia are Augusta-Aiken ($3.59), Albany ($3.57), and Catoosa-Dade-Walker ($3.51).
