ROME, Ga. — The Rome Emperors, in conjunction with the South Atlantic League, on Thursday announced their 2027 regular season schedule which includes a fifth straight scheduled Opening Day game at AdventHealth Stadium.
The 2027 season begins on Friday, April 2nd with a home game against the Greenville Drive, commencing a three-game series with the Boston Red Sox affiliate. Rome will see the Drive 18 more times throughout the Summer and eventually wrap up the season with a six-game set against Greenville September 1st-5th.
In the Southern Division, Rome sees Hub City and Bowling Green 24 times each, Winston-Salem 15 times, and Asheville 12 times. From the Northern Division, Rome matches up with Greensboro 18 times (12 at home), Hudson Valley 12 times (six at home), and Jersey Shore 6 times in an August series in Lakewood, NJ. The Braves-Yankees rivalry in the Minor League Ranks will be renewed for the sixth-straight season, dating back to Hudson Valley’s first year in the SAL in 2022.
45 of Rome’s 66 home games will be played prior to the Major League Baseball All-Star Break which falls on the week of July 12th. The Emperors will host Winston-Salem for a three-game series out of the break and will then only play three more home series the rest of the season.
2027 marks the 24th season of Minor League Baseball in the city of Rome, Georgia, the oldest active affiliate in the Atlanta Braves Farm System.
