AdventHealth Medical Group is pleased to welcome Windy Dean-Colomb, MD, PhD, a board-certified medical oncologist dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered cancer care, to AdventHealth Medical Group Hematology Oncology at Rome.
Dr. Dean brings more than a decade of experience in oncology, including caring for patients with cancer, leading clinical trials, advancing cancer research and mentoring future physicians. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of cancers, such as breast, lung, colorectal, pancreatic, bladder, and kidney cancers, and blood disorders, such as leukemias and lymphomas.
Committed to delivering personalized care, Dr. Dean partners closely with patients and multidisciplinary care teams to develop treatment plans tailored to each individual’s unique needs and goals.
Dr. Dean earned a combined Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Philosophy in Toxicology from the University of Illinois. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine before pursuing a fellowship in Medical Oncology at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, the nation’s leading cancer center.
Board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Dean is recognized for her clinical expertise, collaborative approach and commitment to advancing the field of oncology through research and innovation.
