The Atlanta Braves lost to the Minnesota Twins by a final score of 6-4 on Wednesday afternoon in the finale of a three-game set in Minneapolis, MN. That allowed the Twins to sweep the series.
The Braves netted RBIs from the bats of Ronald Acuna Jr, Lane Thomas, and Ozzie Albies. They tied the game at 4-4 when Thomas scored on a balk in the top of the sixth inning. However, the Twins scored two more runs on RBI singles by Kody Clemens and Brooks Lee in the bottom of the seventh and went on to win the game.
Victor Mederos was charged with the loss for Atlanta. AJ Minter (a former Brave) was credited with the win and Yoendrys Gomez picked up the save for Minnesota.
The National League East-leading Braves are now 74-53 on the 2026 regular season. They will be in Chicago, IL this afternoon to make a up a game that was rained out earlier in the season versus the White Sox. First pitch is slated for 2:10 pm.
