The Rome Emperors lost to the Hub City Spartanburgers by 3-1 on Sunday afternoon in the finale of a seven-game set at AdventHealth Stadium. Rome still took the series by 4-3.
The outing remained scoreless until the eighth. The Spartanburgers scored three in the top of that inning, and the Emperors notched a run in the bottom half.
The Emperors are off today. They will be in Greenville, SC to open up a six-game set versus the Drive on Tuesday night.
