The Director of Berry College’s Physician Associate (PA) Program, has been named Faculty Member of the Year by the Georgia Academy of Physician Associates.
Director Victoria Galloway, M.S.P.A., D.M.Sc., has been a practicing PA since 2004 and has served in the rural communities of southwest Virginia, northeast Tennessee and West Virginia, and is currently practicing in local communities of Georgia. She also serves as a House of Delegates Representative for Georgia at the American Academy of Physician Associates.
The statewide award honors an outstanding PA program faculty member who actively supports the mission, educational standards and advancement of Georgia Academy of Physician Associates and the PA profession. This title recognizes dedication, teaching excellence, and leadership among PA educators. Only faculty members currently teaching at accredited physician associate programs in Georgia are eligible.
“Being named Faculty of the Year is humbling and incredibly meaningful,” Galloway said recently. “Teaching and building a new program are never individual efforts, so I view this honor as recognition of the students, faculty, staff, preceptors and community partners who have built the Berry PA Program alongside me.”
Galloway is the founding director of Berry’s PA program which began in 2025 and is the first PA program in northwest Georgia. Since then, the inaugural class of 28 students completed the didactic phase of their curriculum with 100% retention and progressed into the clinical phase. Additionally, these students had the opportunity to visit the Coverdell Legislative Office in Atlanta to meet with state legislators and advocate for the PA profession.
Founded in 1975, the Georgia Academy of Physician Associates supports PA professionals through advocacy, education and career resources. The organization also provides public health information and connects communities with reliable health resources.
