Less than a month remains until the 2026 Rome International Film Festival begins! The event is set for November 5th through 8th. Locals and visitors to Rome, Georgia will enjoy films, live music, parties, workshops, networking events, and special guests.
Opening night festivities on Thursday, November 5th will include a screening of the Oscar-winning short film “The Accountant”, according to Seth Ingram, RIFF Executive/Creative Director. Actor and director Ray McKinnon will be on hand for that screening.
Danny McBride, Jared and Jerusha Hess, and Ethan Embry are also among the industry professionals expected to be at RIFF.
The festival draws anywhere from 2,000 to 5,000 visitors to town each year, according to Ingram.
RIFF events will take place at the Rome City Auditorium, the historic DeSoto Theatre, Screen 417, and a variety of other venues.
Ingram encourages the purchase of festival passes for all access to meet and greet events and more.
RIFF will conclude on Sunday, November 8th with a closing night concert entitled “Rome Remembers Dolly Parton”. A portion of the ticket sales will benefit the Imagination Library.
