The Salvation Army of Rome, GA seeks the community’s support during the holiday season.
Volunteers are sought to ring bells for the annual Red Kettle campaign, states Lieutenant Cory Tilley, Corps Officer. He encourages friends to bring friends and pitch in their assistance for a couple of hours.
Red Kettle is a beautiful tradition and a great way to give back, according to Captain Cristina Tilley, Corps Officer.
The Red Kettle campaign will begin on the Friday before Thanksgiving and continue through early on Christmas Eve. This is the organization’s largest fundraiser of the year.
Support is also sought for the Angel Tree program, which provides Christmas gifts to youth in need from birth to age 12 and seniors ages 65 and up.
A canned food drive will also be held for The Salvation Army of Rome, GA over the holidays.
