Media release from AdventHealth Georgia:
AdventHealth is expanding access to care in Polk County with the continued growth of its Rockmart clinic, now officially known as AdventHealth Rockmart Clinic. As part of AdventHealth’s Rural Health Transformation initiative, the clinic is enhancing services, extending urgent care hours and introducing cardiology care to better meet the needs of patients throughout Rockmart and the greater Polk County area.
The newly renamed clinic will offer expanded access to care through extended urgent care hours and the addition of specialized cardiology services, providing patients with more convenient access to the healthcare services they need close to home.
Beginning Nov. 5, AdventHealth Rockmart Clinic will offer the following extended hours:
• Monday through Friday: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Saturday and Sunday: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The clinic is also expanding its provider team and services. Patients will continue to receive primary care and urgent care services from Grant Elliott, FNP-C and Nick Yarbrough, FNP-C, while Zachary Whitener, DNP, FNP-C will begin seeing cardiology patients at the location.
“AdventHealth Rockmart Clinic is growing alongside the community it serves,” said Karen Steely, Chief Operating Officer, Service Line Development & AdventHealth Medical Group. “By expanding hours, adding cardiology services and bringing together a strong team of providers, we’re making it easier for patients and families to access high-quality care close to home.”
Grant Elliott, FNP-C provides comprehensive primary care and urgent care services for patients of all ages. His clinical interests include preventive care, chronic disease management, diabetes care, wellness exams, routine health screenings, immunizations, mental health care and treatment for minor illnesses and injuries.
Nick Yarbrough, FNP-C brings extensive experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, chronic disease management and patient education. Prior to becoming a family nurse practitioner, he served as an assistant nurse manager in the emergency department at AdventHealth Redmond.
Zachary Whitener, DNP, FNP-C, who joined AdventHealth Medical Group Cardiology at Rome, will provide cardiology services at the Rockmart location. Whitener earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice from Augusta University and is committed to treating the whole person by offering both traditional and holistic approaches to care.
The expansion reflects AdventHealth’s ongoing commitment to strengthening healthcare access in rural communities and ensuring residents have convenient access to primary care, urgent care and specialty services.
