From Rome Emperors Press Release:
ROME, GA — A familiar name is making its return to Rome.
The Rome Emperors are proud to announce the return of the Rome Braves as part of the club’s newest Theme Night Collection, celebrating more than two decades of baseball history and an identity that holds a special place in the hearts of fans throughout Northwest Georgia.
Beginning Friday, April 16, 2027, and continuing every Friday home game throughout the season, the Emperors will take the field as the Rome Braves, bringing back the classic look that represented professional baseball in Rome for more than 20 years. Each Rome Braves Friday will also feature a postgame fireworks show.
The return of the Rome Braves identity comes on the 25th anniversary of the original vote that brought professional baseball to Rome, providing a fitting opportunity to celebrate the franchise’s history and the generations of fans who have supported it.
“For so many people in this community, the Rome Braves were a big part of growing up, and I’m certainly one of them,” said Justin Franklin, Director of Marketing for the Rome Emperors. “This identity means a lot to a lot of people, and we wanted to find a way to celebrate that history while creating new memories for the next generation of fans. The Rome Braves are such an important part of this city’s story, and we’re proud to make sure that legacy continues to be celebrated.”
For these special Friday night games, players will wear the classic Rome Braves home cap paired with the iconic red jersey featuring the classic Braves script across the chest. The uniforms will feature the original Rome Braves branding, bringing one of the most recognizable looks in the franchise’s history back to the field at AdventHealth Stadium.
The celebration won’t stop with the uniforms. Beloved Rome Braves mascots Romey, Roxie, and Roman will also make their return to the ballpark, reconnecting fans with familiar faces that helped make the Rome Braves experience special for so many years.
Fans will also have the opportunity to take home a piece of the celebration through a special Rome Braves ticket package, which includes a commemorative base. Additional information regarding the package and availability will be provided through the Rome Emperors’ official ticketing channels.
The Rome Braves Theme Night Collection is available for purchase now, both in person at AdventHealth Stadium and online through the Rome Emperors’ official team store. The collection features the return of the original Rome Braves logos and branding, giving fans the opportunity to celebrate the team’s history with a variety of merchandise and apparel.
While the franchise still proudly carries the Rome Emperors name, the Rome Braves remain an important part of the team’s identity and the community’s baseball tradition. The return of the classic uniforms and branding is a tribute to the players, fans, and unforgettable moments that helped shape the franchise into what it is today.
The Rome Braves will make their return to the field on Friday, April 16, 2027, at AdventHealth Stadium, with the celebration continuing every Friday home game throughout the 2027 season.
