FLOYD EMA INVITES LOCALS TO UPCOMING SESSIONS OF THE SAFE EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS ACADEMY

The Floyd County Emergency Management Agency continues to encourage locals to participate in its SAFE Emergency Preparedness Academy. Classes are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month from 6 pm until 8 pm at the Emergency Operations Center located on East 12th Street in Rome.

Tim Herrington, Floyd EMA Director, says that upcoming sessions will cover fire escape planning, 911 intro, understanding drug overdose, fall hazards and prevention, and storm spotting.
