The Atlanta Braves beat the New York Mets 6-3 on Thursday afternoon in the finale of a five-game National League East series up at Citi Field in Flushing, NY. The Braves took that set versus the division-leading Mets 3-2 and ended a nine game road trip with a total of five wins and four losses.
Three of Atlanta’s players had home runs to include Austin Riley with a two-run shot in the top of the fourth inning. That was the 21st home run of the ’21 season for Riley, who was very successful on this road trip.
