The Northwest Georgia Regional Cancer Coalition looks forward to the Live Healthy Chattooga County Coalition’s 2nd annual Health Fair. That will take place on Saturday, April 18th from 9 am until 1 pm at the Chattooga County Agricultural Center, 40 Middle School Road in Summerville.
Erin Hernandez, the President and CEO of the Northwest Georgia Regional Cancer Coalition, states that the event will be open to residents of Chattooga County and the surrounding area. A variety of screenings will be offered to attendees.
Plans are already underway for the Health Initiative for Men and Women, set for mid-August in Rome. The cancer coalition teams up with the 100 Black Men of Rome-Northwest Georgia for that event every year.
Health fairs such as these provide an opportunity for the coalition to connect with health care providers, says Hernandez, who adds that these connections better enable the coalition to serve its clients.
