Where: The Chief Vann House State Historic Site
What: Join us for Vann House Day to celebrate the 68th anniversary of our establishment as a historic site in this family friendly event. On Saturday, July 25th from 10a.m.-4p.m., with the help of Friends volunteers and Georgia park rangers, we bring the Vann House to life with activities and demonstrations that help you better understand the story of the Cherokee man, James Vann and his plantation. You’ll see woodworking and toy making of different kinds, a black powder demonstration, stone-tool knapping, spinning, weaving, quilting, hear fiddling tunes, string some green beans, grind corn, churn butter, and more.
How: $8 per person paid at the door the day of the event. Admission includes touring the historic house, grounds, Visitor Center and all activities and demonstrations.

Regular hours: Thursday-Saturday 9-5, Sunday 1-5. December-March: closed on Sunday.
