The Atlanta Braves beat the Philadelphia Phillies by 4-2 on Sunday night in the finale of a three-game National League East set at Philadelphia, PA. That was the first series sweep of the ’26 regular season for the Braves, who have won their last five straight games.
The Phillies struck first with a two-run homer by Kyle Schwarber during the bottom of the first inning. Michael Harris II got the Braves on the board with a home run to lead off the third. The Braves took the lead with three runs during the fifth on a game-tying groundout by Matt Olson, tie-breaking single by Austin Riley, and an RBI double by Ozzie Albies.
Tyler Kinley was credited with the win for Atlanta. Raisel Iglesias picked up the save. Andrew Painter was charged with the loss for Philadelphia.
This past weekend marked the first time that the Braves achieved the sweep of the Phillies in Philadelphia since 2016.
The NL East-leading Braves are now 15-7 on the season. They will continue their current seven-game road trip this evening with the first of four division outings versus the Washington Nationals in Washington DC. First pitch is set for 6:45 pm.
