Registration continues for Paddle Georgia 2026, a canoe and kayak journey along the Cartecay, Coosawattee, and Oostanaula Rivers slated to take place from June 14th through 20th. Paddlers will enjoy catered meals, on-the-river activities, educational programs, nightly entertainment, and more.
The seven-day, 95-mile voyage will begin near Ellijay and end in Rome, says Joe Cook, Paddle Georgia Coordinator. He adds that this is the largest week-long canoe-kayak-camping adventure in the country.
Paddle Georgia has been quite successful, as it has engaged more than 7,000 people and raised over a million dollars for river protection over the past two-plus decades, according to Cook.
Registration for the 2026 event is open through May 31st at 11:59 pm on the Georgia River Network’s website at www.garivers.org. The cost is $460 for the full seven-day trip. Two-,three-, and four-day options are also available.
