Media release from NWGA Charter Academy:
NWGA Charter Academy is excited to announce the delivery of its new school buses, marking a major step toward welcoming students in August. The arrival of the buses reflects the school’s commitment to ensuring families have safe, reliable transportation to the beautiful campus from throughout Floyd and Polk counties.
The arrival of buses this week coincided with a pre-opening inspection of the school’s campus conducted by the Board and Superintendent on Thursday, April 30. The team utilized a facilities checklist to ensure that all interior and exterior spaces are in compliance prior to an inspection to be conducted by the Georgia Department of Education later this spring.
“This is an exciting moment for our board and our families,” said Judy Taylor, Founder and Board Chair. “Seeing the buses arrive and walking the campus together reminds us how close we are to opening our doors. We want every child to feel welcomed, supported, and safe from the moment they step on campus.”
With buses now on-site and final preparations underway, NWGA Charter Academy encourages families who are still considering their school options to enroll while seats remain available.
