The Atlanta Braves lost to the Seattle Mariners by 3-1 on Wednesday in the finale of a three-game set at Seattle, WA. Seattle took the series by 2-1. That was Atlanta’s first series loss of the 2026 regular season.
A pinch-hit, sac fly by Dominic Smith during the top of the eighth inning accounted for the Braves’ only run of the day.
Martin Perez took the loss for Atlanta after giving up two runs and five hits, walking one, and striking out five in five and two-third innings. Bryan Woo got the win and Jose Ferrer picked up the save for Seattle.
The National League East-leading Braves maintain the best record in MLB at 26-12. They are off today and will be in Los Angeles, CA over the weekend for a three-game set against the NL West-leading Dodgers. The first pitch of Friday night’s series opener is slated for 10:10 pm Eastern.
