Announcement from the Floyd County Emergency Management Agency:
Haywood Valley Road will be closed May 11 to allow Floyd County Public Works to replace a cross drain.
The area of construction will be at #1248 Haywood Valley Road. The period of closure on Monday will be from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Detour will be New Rosedale Road (Ga 156) on the south end, but from the north the detour will be Dry Creek Road or Little Sand Mountain Road.
The closure will affect Chattooga County commuters.
