The Rome-Floyd YMCA looks forward to Day Camp, swimming, and more over the Summer.
Registration is currently open at www.ymcarome.org for weekly Day Camps, which will get underway May 26th and continue through July 24th, according to Jessica Brummett, Director of Development. Camp will be closed on June 19th for Juneteenth and the week of June 29th through July 3rd.
YMCA Day Camp is open to children ages six through 12 and will take place at Grizzard Park.
The offerings for 2026 will also include Kinder Camp for pre-schoolers, says Scott McCreless, Executive Director.
Financial assistance with camp is available to those who need it. Check out the website for more information.
Swim lessons will be held over the Summer, as they are throughout the year. They tend to fill quickly at this time of year, states McCreless.
Visitors to the local Y may additionally enjoy aqua aerobics and free swim, says Brummett.
The Rome-Floyd YMCA will also offer a lifeguarding certification course, as well as adult/pediatric first aid/CPR/AED certification during the Summer of 2026.
