Media release from AdventHealth Georgia:
Chatsworth, Ga. – AdventHealth is taking an important step forward in its commitment to Murray County and Northwest Georgia with plans for a new hospital campus designed to bring more care, more services, and more support closer to home.
Site preparations for the new AdventHealth Murray campus will begin this summer, with an official groundbreaking later this year. Opening is expected in 2028. This campus will replace the existing AdventHealth hospital in Chatsworth.
Guided by its mission of extending the healing ministry of Christ and a commitment to whole-person care, AdventHealth Murray continues to build on a strong foundation of clinical excellence. The hospital is the only facility in Northwest Georgia to earn both a Leapfrog Top Hospital designation and receive CMS’s 5-Star rating, reflecting its commitment to delivering safe, high-quality care.
Spanning 185,000 square feet, the new campus will include a 42-bed hospital and medical office building, expanding AdventHealth’s ability to care for patients and families across the region.
The new campus will bring increased inpatient capacity, add Emergency Department rooms, and expand surgical offerings across multiple specialties, helping more patients receive timely, high-quality care. AdventHealth Murray will also offer critical care services, a cardiac catheterization lab, a full range of advanced imaging services, and additional outpatient specialty care, further strengthening the continuum of care available to Northwest Georgia.
The AdventHealth Murray team is passionate about providing exceptional care for their community and extending the healing ministry of Christ to every patient and guest who comes through our doors,” said Isaac Sendros, President and CEO of the AdventHealth Georgia Market. “This investment reflects our long-term commitment to the people of Northwest Georgia, ensuring our neighbors have access to the highest level of faith-based
care now and for generations to come.”
Designed with the local community in mind, the hospital will incorporate stonework sourced from northwest Georgia, honoring the region’s natural beauty and creating a facility that is authentic and connected to the area it serves.
Once complete, AdventHealth Murray will provide expanded access to whole person care—addressing not only physical needs, but also mental and spiritual wellbeing—while supporting economic growth and job creation in the region.
