The Atlanta Braves wrapped up a six-game homestand with an 8-1 win over the Boston Red Sox on Sunday in the finale of a three-game interleague set at Truist Park. The Braves took that series by 2-1 and went 4-2 over the course of their homestand.
Austin Riley got the home team on the board with a three-run homer in the bottom of the first inning. Mike Yastrzemski homered to begin the bottom of the fourth.
Grant Holmes was credited with the win for Atlanta after giving up just five hits, walking one, and striking out four through six scoreless innings. Brayan Bello took the loss for Boston.
Sunday’s game was delayed in the sixth for a little over a half an hour due to heavy rain.
The National League East-leading Braves improved their MLB-best record to 32-15 on the 2026 regular season. They will be in Miami, FL this evening to open up a four-game division series against the Marlins. The first pitch is set for 6:40 pm.
