Habitat for Humanity – Coosa Valley continues to seek volunteers to work concessions at Rome Emperors’ home games.
Habitat operates two of the large concession stands and the nacho stand at AdventHealth Stadium. Fifteen percent of the proceeds go to the non-profit, which also welcomes tips. Volunteers (ages 14 and up) are needed to serve customers.
Betsy Allgood, Executive Director, says that this is a great way for those who are not handy with a hammer to support Habitat. And volunteers get to enjoy some Emperors baseball.
Interested parties may register to volunteer at www.habitatcoosavalley.org, says Allgood, who adds that the community can also aid the organization by shopping at and/or donating to the Habitat ReStore located near Central Plaza in Rome.
Habitat has announced that it will host a groundbreaking for its 62nd home on Sunday, May 31st at 3 pm at 507 Brown Street. Upon completion, the home will be inhabited by the Cornejo family.
