The Atlanta Braves beat the Boston Red Sox by 7-6 on Tuesday night in the opener of a three-game interleague series in Boston, MA.
Highlights included a two-run homer from Matt Olson in the top of the fifth inning. Michael Harris II contributed four hits on the night to include a two-run shot in the eighth.
Spencer Strider was Atlanta’s winning pitcher. He surrendered three runs and three hits, walked three, and struck out five over five innings. Raisel Iglesias picked up the save. Ranger Suarez took the loss for Boston.
The National League East-leading Braves improved their MLB-best record to 37-18 on the ’26 regular season, while the Red Sox remain in last place of the American League East at 22-31. They will play again tonight in Boston. The first pitch is set for 6:45 pm at Fenway Park.
