Downtown Rome Block Party Set for Saturday

The initial First Friday concert of 2026 will take place on a Saturday – this Saturday, June 6^th. It will be a Downtown Rome Block Party!

Suzanne Roberts, Director of Rome’s Downtown Development Authority, says that First Friday was moved to Saturday this month due to the KC and The Sunshine Band concert at the Forum River Center set for Friday, June 5^th. She hopes that music lovers will attend both.

This Saturday’s festivities will start with a Summer Sidewalk Extravaganza at 10 am, according to Roberts. A 90’s-themed Block Party with a DJ will begin at 4 pm. That will be followed by live music from South of Nashville and All Talk at 7 pm.

July’s First Friday concert will be held on the second Friday of that month – Friday, July 10^th – so that it will not conflict with Independence Day weekend activities. First Friday concerts are also on tap for August 7^th and September 4^th.
