Northwest Georgia Charter Academy eagerly anticipates providing a new educational opportunity to Rome, Floyd County, and Polk County families in the 2026-2027 school year.
Cassie Potts, co-founder and board secretary, says that the school is a tuition-free option for parents in search of something different for their kids.
Lydia Cox, parent and board member, believes that students will benefit from smaller classes.
Grades K-5 will be offered in the first year, with other grades to be added in the years to come.
The school will focus on entrepreneurship and financial literacy, according to Potts, who adds that charter schools are unique and hands-on.
The academy’s classes will be conducted on the Georgia School for the Deaf campus in Cave Spring.
Pre-enrollment remains open for the upcoming school year. To pre-enroll or get more information, visit www.nwgacharteracademy.org.
