The Rome Emperors beat the Bowling Green Hot Rods by 8-7 on Thursday night in the third meeting of a six-game set at Bowling Green, KY. John Gil had two home runs to include a two-run bomb in the Emperors’ six-run fourth inning. Eric Hartman, Mason Guerra, and Colin Burgess also homered.
Rome enters the weekend with a 2-1 lead in this series in the Bluegrass State. Game four is scheduled for tonight at 7:35 pm.
