The Atlanta Braves lost to the San Diego Padres by 7-6 in 10 innings on Tuesday night in the middle outing of a three-game set in San Diego, CA. That allowed San Diego to take the series.
The Braves opened the scoring with four runs in the top of the second. The Padres notched five runs during the bottom of that inning. The Braves tied the game on an RBI double by Ozzie Albies in the fourth, then assumed a 6-5 lead on a home run by Mauricio Dubon in the fifth. However, the Padres tied it again in seventh on a home run by Fernando Tatis Jr. They won the game on a walk-off single by Manny Machado in the 10th.
Raisel Iglesias took the loss for Atlanta. Mason Miller was credited with the win for San Diego.
The National League East-leading Braves are now 48-30 on the 2026 regular season, and the Padres remain in second place of the NL West at 41-37. The teams will meet in their series finale tonight. The first pitch is scheduled for 8:40 pm Eastern at Petco Park in San Diego.
