Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation looks forward to celebrating the United States of America’s 250th birthday with their 2026 Fireworks Extravaganza Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, July 4th at Ridge Ferry Park in Rome.
Tyler Stinson, Special Services Manager, says that, in addition to fireworks, event attendees will enjoy food trucks, games, and more.
RFPR will commemorate the nation’s milestone birthday with an even bigger and better celebration than in years past, according to Stinson.
Entrance to the event will be free, although there will be a $5 fee for parking at the park.
Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation also invites community members to go for a swim at the Northside Swim Center during the Summer. Open Swim is on Tuesdays through Saturdays from noon until 5 pm. Pool rentals are available for birthday parties and more, says Stinson.
The Ridge Ferry Park Farmer’s Market is also back for the season. It will be open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 7 am until 11 am through September 26th.
