The Atlanta Braves finished six-game road trip out west on Sunday with a loss to the San Francisco Giants by 3-2 in the final meeting of a three-game set in San Francisco, CA. The Braves dropped the series by 1-2 and went 1-5 during their road trip.
Chris Sale was charged with the loss for Atlanta after giving up two runs (just one of them earned) and eight hits, walking one, and striking out 10 through six innings of work. Robbie Ray was credited with the win and Caleb Kilian picked up the save for San Francisco.
The Braves are now 49-33 and hold a three-game lead in the National League East. They are off today and will open a seven-game homestand on Tuesday night with the first of three games versus the St. Louis Cardinals. First pitch is set for 7:15 pm.
