The Rome Emperors beat the Jersey Shore BlueClaws by 8-1 on Wednesday night in game two of a six-game set in Lakewood, NJ. That allowed Rome to assume a 2-0 lead in the series. Dallas Macias contributed a solo home run in the top of the third inning. Eric Hartman had a solo shot and Dixon Williams clubbed a two-run homer in the fourth.
The Emperors and the BlueClaws will meet again this evening. First pitch is slated for 7:05 pm. Their series will continue through Sunday.
