The Rome-Floyd YMCA wants to help local families extend grocery budgets via the distribution of Grab & Go seven day meal boxes for kids.
Scott McCreless, Executive Director, says that this food will continue to be distributed at Pepperell High School on Tuesdays from 10 am until 11 am, Cave Spring Baptist Church every Tuesday from 4:30 pm until 5:30 pm, YMCA Grizzard Park on Wednesdays from 4:30 pm until 5:30 pm, and Ridge Ferry Park on Thursdays from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm through July 23rd. Mobile food markets are also offered monthly.
Meal boxes for kids are limited to one pick up at one site per week and must be picked up by a parent or guardian. That program is free to anyone ages 18 and under.
