The Atlanta Braves wrapped up a seven-game homestand with a loss to the New York Mets by 7-6 in 10 innings on Monday night in the finale of a four game National League East set at Truist Park. It resulted in a 2-2 series split. The Braves went 3-4 during their homestand.
Matt Olson hit a pair of home runs in the effort, including a two-run shot that tied the game at 5-5 in the bottom of the ninth inning.
Luis Torrens had a two-run double that put the Mets ahead in the top of the 10th. Juan Soto also hit a three-run homer for the visiting team in the ninth.
Owen Murphy was charged with the loss for Atlanta. Brooks Raley got the win and Luke Weaver picked up the save for New York.
The NL East-leading Braves’ record is now 52-37 for the ’26 regular season. They will begin a six-game road trip this evening with the opener of a three-game series in Pittsburgh, PA versus the Pirates. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:40 pm.
