NAMI – Rome, GA seeks sponsors and walkers for NAMIWalks Rome 2026, set for Saturday, September 26th at 11 am in downtown Rome. Walkers will meet at Heritage Park.
Bonnie Moore, member of the NAMI – Rome, GA leadership team, says that walk day will be here before you know it! She adds that the event will be kid-friendly, as well as an opportunity for those affected by mental illness to know that they are not alone.
Jim Moore, also a member of the leadership team, says that there is no cost to participate, though walkers are encouraged to raise funds that will go towards NAMI – Rome, GA’s efforts to support those living with mental illness. There will be activities, crafts, music, and giveaways before the walk, says Moore.
