Summer 2026 has been fun-filled and action-packed for the youth served by Open Door Home in Rome.
Tracie Ball, Executive Director, says that ODH staffers have worked hard to ensure great adventures for teenagers, like swimming, skating, bowling, and more.
Community members can support ODH’s efforts to plan an epic rest of the Summer by contributing to its Happy Days fund, says Ball. Tickets to the movies, baseball games, and amusement parks are additionally appreciated.
ODH’s Happy Days fund received a boost from the No-Show Ball fundraiser in May, states Ball, who adds that the non-event netted just over $43,000.
Community members are encouraged check out ODH’s Facebook page and website at (www.opendoorhome.org) for information on Whit and Friends Lemonade Stand, slated for Tuesday, August 11th at 11 am at the Between the Rivers Historic District. Lemonade and cookies will be sold to raise funds for ODH.
Open Door Home is a 501(c)3 organization whose residential facilities provide emergency and extended care to youth who have been neglected and/or abused.
