The Rome Emperors lost to the Frederick Keys by 13-8 on Wednesday night in the second meeting of a six-game set at AdventHealth Stadium.
The Keys grabbed an early lead with seven runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back. They now lead the series by 2-0.
Tate Southisene had a three-run homer during the Emperors’ five-run fourth. Dixon Williams and Mac Guscette each had home runs to begin the bottom of the seventh.
Game three between the Emperors and the Keys is scheduled for this evening at 6:45 pm.
