The Northwest Georgia Charter Academy will begin its first-ever school year on Monday, August 3rd.
Judy Taylor, Governing Board Member, says that the first two weeks will be filled with team-building activities.
Dr. Dawn Williams, Superintendent/Principal, believes that the school will be a be a great part of this community’s educational landscape.
The Northwest Georgia Charter Academy is open tuition-free to families in Rome, Floyd County, and Polk County. Taylor wants community members to know that it is a public charter school approved by the Georgia Department of Education.
Classes will be taught on the Georgia School for the Deaf campus in Cave Spring. Grades K-5 are offered for the first year, while other grades will be added in the years to come. Pre-enrollment is offered continually online at www.nwgacharteracademy.org.
