The Rome Emperors beat the Hub City Spartanburgers by 11-8 on Thursday evening in the third outing of a six-game set in Spartanburg, SC. It allowed the Emperors to take a 3-0 lead in the series and extend their latest winning streak to four in a row.
Highlights included a two-run homer by Dixon Williams during the top of the second inning and a home run by Mason Guerra to begin the ninth.
Rome and Hub City will meet again this evening in Spartanburg. First pitch is slated for 7:05 pm.
