The Atlanta Braves beat the Miami Marlins by 4-2 on Tuesday night in the opener of a three-game National League East set at Truist Park. That was the sixth win a row for Atlanta.
Ozzie Albies got the Braves on the board with a home run to open the bottom of the second inning. Austin Riley added a two-run shot in the seventh.
Ronald Acuna Jr. scored the Braves’ fourth and final run of the evening on a wild pitch in the eighth. Leo Jimenez had a two-run single for the Marlins during the top of the ninth.
Grant Holmes was Atlanta’s winning pitcher. He gave up five hits, walked one, and struck out five over six scoreless innings. Ryan Gusto took the loss for Miami.
The NL East-leading Braves are now 68-45 on the 2026 regular season, and the third-place Marlins are 58-56. Those teams will meet again tonight. First pitch is set for 7:15 pm at Truist Park.
