The Rome Emperors beat the Greensboro Grasshoppers by 6-3 on Sunday in the finale of a six-game set at AdventHealth Stadium. That allowed Rome to avoid being swept in the series.
Colby Jones, Conor Essenburg, and Mac Guscette each had solo home runs in the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings, respectively. Luis Guanipa added a two run shot in the eighth.
The Emperors are off today and will open up a six-game set in Asheville, NC versus the Tourists on Tuesday night.
