A Georgia Lottery player won the $3 million top prize playing the 100X The Money scratch-off game. The lucky ticket was purchased at Mr. Bs, 401 N. Center Street in Thomaston. The winner claimed their prize on Aug. 7. Last week, Georgia Lottery players claimed $39,585,197 in winnings from scratch-off games.
A Milner resident won $150,000 in the Aug. 8 Powerball drawing by matching four of the five white-ball numbers and the Powerball and selecting the PowerPlay option, which tripled the prize from $50,000 to $150,000. The ticket was purchased on the Georgia Lottery mobile app. The next Powerball drawing will be Aug. 10 for a jackpot of $905 million, the eighth largest jackpot in the game’s history.
Three players won prizes playing Diggi Games on the mobile app over the weekend:
- A Grovetown resident won $462,147 playing Elephant King Jackpots on Aug. 10
- A player in St. Simons Island won $100,000 playing Wheel of Fortune: On The Road on Aug. 8
- A Norcross player won $10,000 playing Fishing for Gold: On Tour on Aug. 7
Finally, two tickets won the $10,000 top prize in the Aug. 8 evening drawing of Georgia FIVE. Those tickets were both purchased at Exxon Food Mart, 494 Bankhead Highway in Carrollton.
As with all Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from scratch-off tickets, Powerball, Diggi Games, and Georgia FIVE benefit education in the state of Georgia.
