Rome Little Theatre to Open 2026-2027 Season with “Matilda The Musical” at the Rome City Auditorium, Show Dates are August 28th – 30th

The Rome Little Theatre will open their 2026-2027 season at the Rome City Auditorium instead of on their own stage at the DeSoto Theatre because the DeSoto is currently under renovation.

“Matilda The Musical”, based on the Roald Dahl book “Matilda”, will be presented from August 28^th through 30^th. It tells the story of an extraordinary girl who dares to change her own destiny. Ethan Brooks, who will play Miss Trunchbull, says that the show is all about hope and seeing the inner child in yourself.
