The Rome Emperors lost to the Asheville Tourists by 16-14 in 10 innings on Sunday afternoon to wrap up a six-game set in Asheville, NC. That resulted in a series split.
Dixon Williams contributed a total of six RBIs with three home runs for the Emperors. Alex Lodise and Dallas Macias also homered. Cade Doughty hit a two-run shot that gave Rome a 14-12 lead in the top of the 10th. However, the homestanding Tourists scored four in the bottom of that inning to secure the win.
