The Atlanta Braves opened up a seven-game road trip on Monday night with a loss to the Minnesota Twins by 4-2 in the first outing of a three-game set in Minneapolis, MN.
The Twins scored all four of their runs during the bottom of the first inning on a two-run double from Josh Bell and RBI singles from Royce Lewis and Kody Clemens. Ronald Acuna Jr. clubbed a two-run single for the Braves in the top of the fifth.
Martin Perez was charged with the loss for Atlanta after surrendering four runs and nine hits, walking two, and striking out three through five innings. Travis Adams was credited with the win in relief and Yoendrys Gomez got the win for Minnesota.
The National League East-leading Braves are now 74-51 on the 2026 regular season, and the Twins are in third place of the American League Central with a record of 61-65.
